With that stock design, it might have a LOT of muzzle-rise, which means it needs a good smack of eye relief. Light, but the same weight as the .500 Barnes supreme I shot - once - then took a while to recover. My .458 Alaskan weighed 9 1/2 pounds - about right for 2,200fps with a 500gr. I'd not shoot a large bore 8 pounder - again. |
