The pressure posted using a 500gr. bullet and 70gr. of 2F (I think it was) according to Accurate Arms Powder company, 22,000psi.

If the slot was closer to the breech, or a larger case used as in the 30,000 psi producing 3 1/4" .45 case, I'd be more concerned, I think.

I'd mail Dan Pharris and ask what he though on this subject.

Not knowing the make of the barrel is not particularly good imho.
