aromakr yes the block has been bushed, I also installed a new firing pin along with a fresh extractor. Thanks for the primer tip, I'll keep an eye on things when I do some load development over the chrony hopefully next weekend.

I was lucky enough to grab bag of Winchester brass a few years ago and then I found a bucket of mixed 218/25-20 brass last year. Interestingly I found a single 22 Jet case also in the bucket !!

I'm in the process of building another Cadet but in this time in 41 Rem Magnum, already got the dies and brass just waiting on a mate to do a barrel order from the US. Plan is to keep it to 18 inches and have a peep installed.
