Just daydreaming about having a custom single built, likely on the ubiquitous Ruger No. 1 action. Re-reading John Taylor and leafing through the British Sporting Cartridges chapter of "Caartridges of the World" I seem to have lit upon this grand old Eley number, circa 1905. It shows a 320 grain .367 bullet at 2200, frankly not a whole lot more poop than a hot-loaded 9,3X74R. But damn, that's a beautiful cartridge, and Taylor had lots of good things to say about its performance in Africa. Anyone have a rifle in this chambering? Love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
