A German gunmaker sent me details of some rook rifles that he makes from scratch. They are very expensive and beautifully made. Can't recall the exact name (it is not one of the big and familiar names AFAIK) right now, and my website is being moved to a new hosting company, but I'll dig the info up and post it here.

That said, I do think that a restored historical gun like this one would be the cat's whiskers compared to even a brilliantly built new one. But that's just my humble opinion . . .
