The "Nicht fϋr Kugel" is Austrian, meaning it's a choke bored barrel. The thing that looks like a number 3 backwards, with an F super-imposed is the Ferlach stamp and I agree that the N with a crown is probably German. But the much larger crown on the other side looks like a Paris proof mark for finished guns. It's a bit out of focus so not so easy to be sure. Also, since the weight of the barrels, (in grams), was stamped on Austrian smokeless proved guns of this era, I wonder if you carefully weighed it today, if it might come close? |
