Wilkes Rook Refurb.

Thought I would post some pictures of my Wilkes .300 Rook rifle and get a plug in for Bertram and Co. at the same time...
I bought this Wilkes a few years ago.
It had a poor replacement stock but the action engraving and remaining colors as well as bore condition just begged for some attention.
I bought a blank on EBay (cheap!)which had a crack running length-wise on the underside. The seller said it was only an inch or so deep so I picked it up thinking it could be used on a straight gripped gun.
Well, it was selected for the Wilkes and the crack ran a lot deeper, just short of the grip so couldn't have worked better! Lucky...
Steve did some really nice work on this stock.
