Re: J Coster conversion

Julius Coster, 1850 - 1927, was a son of Johann Christoph Cöster, gunsmith in Niedermeiser, a village near Kassel, Germany. In 1869 he left Germany and worked for Alexander Henry, Edinburgh, as shop foreman. From 1890 till 1898 he worked on his own in Edinburgh, so the conversion may be dated to this time span. In late 1898 he moved to Glasgow. his patents were for improvement of extractors/ejectors on Martini and Henry type falling block rifle actions.
