You can come very close to it...Robgunbuilder who posts on AR has duplicated the 450-400 with his No.1 in .405 and he is very knowledgable...

I solved the problem by buying a 416 Rem in a Ruger No.1, and that nets me an easy 2400 FPS with a 400 gr. bullet..I am betting I can get 2600 FPS or better if I try..but no need, I'm right where I need to be at 2400 FPS....

My therory is if you want 404 or 450-400 balistics then buy a 404 or 450-400 or rechamber the .405 to one or the other using a 405 neck on the required reamer....

If one wants a .405 then use a .405 at its intended velocity of about 1900 FPS.
