As far as the single shots are concerned, I like hunting with unusual guns. When we hunted the limpopo, in 2008, I took a 45-70 guide gun and got seven head of plains game. So I thought using a Ruger no.1 was appropriate for my DG hunt. It IS kinda fun to give some of the boys on other forums, epileptic seizures over firearm choices.....

I hunted there in 2006 with Nengasha Safaris, the PH was Paul Frodsham, for a couple of cow elephants. There were three outfitters using the concession at the time, and the concession was owned by Butch Walker - Bulembi Safaris. I believe Martin Pieters took over from Butch Walker since then.
