Re: Ruger No 1 303

Very interesting comments gentlemen. Was thinking of getting one of those no.1's in 303 myself but changed my mind. Am interested in getting a no.1 action for a long term project. After what year do feel the build quality started to decrease and is there a period when the quality was at it's best? Thanks.

Brownell's used to sell Ruger #1 actions and Ruger #1 barreled actions. At the time I saw their add, they cost the same as a complete rifle cost up here.
