Curl my No1 303 barrel was miked at .315 and will not shoot, they have a massive long throat so you can load 215Grain pills. I have sent mine back to the importer to fix or replace with a proper dimention 303 barrel. Scince I did that and I think because of a lot of complaints from Canada Ruger are researching what the correct specs for a 303British is. Now if you go back to the Martini Henry a .316 grove to grove was acceptable. But from memory SSAMI specs are below this and not sure but I would think the SMLE would be deemed worn out at .315.

Now I just have to wait and see.

Someone said that they would look for an earlier No1 action and get built what you want. Thats is what I was going to do to get a No1 in 303British then Ruger brought one out. I would advise getting one made up to your own specs.
