Don't think he's that approachable and I suspect that he's one of those guys who only likes the old originals and not anything that may topple his beloveds from the top of the pole. I rang him a couple of years back and asked him to look at my website to see if he maybe interested in doing a review and never heard back from him. I guess I presumed he would be somewhat more enthusiastic about someone who had taken on the task of making Gibbs Farkies, albeit a heavily modified rendition. Not too keen on approaching him again really. He does have " a reputation" that I have been made aware of subsequent to that. And if you read the article he wrote on the Gibbs miniature "resurrection" you'd almost have to wonder if he has spent waay too much time on his remote "Elk Song" ranch by himself. (There are some absolute classic lines in there about having to find the courage to put his re-made metford rifled barrel in the lathe and clock it up to do the chambering work etc. It's worth reading, certainly unique) There will be other ways of getting the necessary information. I never have been much of a sychophant....
