Neither customer wanted irons because they prefer a clean barrel (as do I) and scopes dont tend to give too much trouble these days. Just take a spare, if on a long trip and the optics get damaged. I have fitted the Recknagel H&H style flip over ivory bead front sight and a standing V in the rib at the rear. Looks right on a African Express. So no problems to fit a traditional sighting of required.
