The gundealer only had high stainless rings on hand. I got a reply from Ruger suggesting the same as you and I am about th send an email of the "Nioa" to see if they can help. Yeah I know it is only a "Blip" in the system. I am going to shoot it on the weekend with open sights. My other one in 45-70 has no issues what so ever.
