John Taylor, in "African Rifles and Cartridges", has a table that lists ballistics of the African Cartridges and includes rifle weights.

A Double in .400 3" - 9-10 lbs
Single in .400 3" - 8 1/2-9 lbs

Ruger states 7 3/4 lbs, I've had some experience with manufactured rifles weighing alot more than indicated on their tables. Are they leaving about 1 lbs off for a scope, sling, etc?
