Hello Gents, I`m new to this forum, but I have been reading for a while. I found the time ready to ask for some assistance. I am thinking of getting a No.1 in 450/400NE, but I am a bit worried about the recoil. I wonder if anybody here can tell me why the 450/400NE is so much lighter then the 458LOT and the 375H&H? I really like the 450/400NE, and finaly it is possible to get hold on a rifle for this cartridge for a fair price. I have a Brno 602 custom rifle in 375H&H today, and the recoil on that is no problem, but I have never fired a 450/400, so I just expect it to have a bit heavier recoil. I have no intensions of using a scope on the No.1, so i belive it should work fine, but I`m just not sure. As you can see on the Ruger homepage there are some differense in the weight between the rifles. I was told by a friend of mine that the No.1 have a terrible recoil because of the shape of the stock, but I find that hard to belive since the stock is very classic. Thanks for any advise. |
