I haven't contacted Wal on this rifle.
Steve Barnett has a very similar rifle on his site although it is a .500 and has the hammer safety in front of the hammer. It does have the contoured lock (that is what you mean by "cranked" right?) on the left side. The forend tip is the same as on mine. Thought that would be a fun detail to duplicate on a Ruger No.1
IIRC, Seyfreid had an article in the DGJ about a similar gun in .360Express which I will have to look up. That may have been a Dickson on a Henry patent action with a Fraser barrel.
