Ben I don't have one, but I agree a bullet around 180 to 200 gr is the ideal premium bullet for a .300. But for pigs and the like, if you do a lot of shooting I would use a 150 gr bullet. I liked the old Nosler SBBTs in my .30-06. For an all round deer bullet, a 165 gr Nosler Partition would work well. Maybe combine them with a load for the 165 gr Bal Tip and you can choose which round depending on the hunt or species. For a specialised sambar bullet, I would go for a 180 or 200 gr Partition. |
