gents im having second thoughts as a few of you know im looking at converting my ruger no.1 to a .470 nitro express but im having second thoughts on the caliber.the old man keeps mentioning the .470 capstick and the .9.3*74 then the new issue of australian shooter arrived early this week with an article on a ruger no.1 being converted to .450 nitro.there are so many great calibers that are screaming out .450/400 nitro express,.458 lott,.500 nitro,.500 jefferys,.505 gibbs,.577 nitro,.585 gma.im thinking for this project i stay with the .470 nitro express and down the track build something bigger any thoughts would be welcome.
