Some have slack in the levers when the action is open, some don’t. They have always been like that. If you adjust the ejector to weak or no ejection that makes the action feel smoother, and I like them to extract only. But that is a matter of personal preference, not quality. Quote: Again, in some ways quality is the best it as ever been. My late model No. 1s are the most accurate. All of them are as dependable as sunrise. My recommendation is to buy any No. 1 if you are going to completely rebuild the gun. If you plan to keep the factory barrel, buy a brand new rifle. |
