The .270 with light (130grain) pills certainly fills a niche in your armourey.

I'll support keeping it a .270 if it shoots well. You can then re-furb and 'pimp it' with some subtle engraving or colour case hardening. The flat receiver sides on No1's almost scream to be engraved.
