I have just purchased a second hand late 1974 by the Serial Number, Ruger No.1 in .270 Win. Although it needs work, the basis of a fine Custom Rifle is hiding in there somewhere ready to blossom with a little T.L.C.

I am yet to decide if it should stay in the same caliber, as the other rifles I have range from .22, .222, 30.06,.375H&H(x2) & .450 N.E. 3.25"

What are the suggestions from our Forum members, Boy, I love this Forum.
