Re: Ruger No 1 303

Although I feel for you guys that have bought one of these Ruger No1 303s and find the workmanship less than desired, I'm pretty pleased as I came within a whisker of placing an order for one. Instead I just bought a Marlin XS7, left the scope in the shop and took an expensive ($NZ100) German sling instead. Put a 3-12x AO Bushnell on it. Plastic stock but shoots really well out of the box and very good American workmanship. For the price a hard to beat deal. Off the thread a bit but don't despair, there is still some good off the shelf workmanship being done by some manufacturers.
