Here is a "brother" of the gun above: Also by E.Schmidt & Habermann, ESHA, Suhl, also 9.3x53RSwiss / 16, proofed July 1927, same Kersten + double underbolting, same boxlock action with Kerner's top-mounted sears and cocking indicators, original stock. Granted, the action is filed up a little bit different, the engraving is much less elaborate, the wood is plain and it has a lot of rust pitting on the outside, but still fine insides. When it came to me, it was without a scope, so I claw-mounted a post-war Hensoldt DIATAL 4x32 on the original bases. The whole outfit set me back only about 7% of the asking price of the ESHA above. |
