I would love to get a No.1 in .303 or .30-40 Krag, and set it up for target work.

Two fine old rimmed .30 caliber cartridges, with nearly the same versatility as the .308!

Unfortunately it does seem that as more time passes since the death of Bill Ruger, the company that bears his name is losing its way. It seemed to begin with the demise/abandonment of the Gold Label, and now the quality of construction seen in the No. 1 and M77 has slipped somewhat.

I might be better off getting a T/C Encore frame and a match grade barrel in each caliber...
