I have just received these pictures of a Heeren rifle built by Dorleac and Dorleac to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the firm's founding this year. The rifle is a 6.5x57R built on a 19th century Nagel and Menz Heeren action with a 22" barrel in the stutzen style. The action was heat treated in order to strengthen it for the pressures of the modern round. The engraving by Michel Courant was done in an art deco floral style with two colors of gold used in the inlays. The wood is oil finished English walnut and the scope is a Swarovski 3-10x42 in Suhl mounts. The rifle will be on display until September when it will be sold.
Happy viewing and good hunting, gentlemen!
