Me thinks you are on to something. Clayton Nelson built up a few of these rifles in the late 80's/early 90's in various actions and calibers.I know because I have one that is a gibbs copy of a minuature farquharson in .280 currently being rechambered to 7x65 due to ejection/timing problems.
