Scoping a SxS is a bit dirty.

Dirty???
The best makers have been building scoped SxS double rifles for a long time.
QD mounts do allow the rifle to be easily used open sighted anyway, so I fail to see any problem there. If you don't want to use the scope you don't have to use it.
But if a difficult shot presents itself, the scope can be a real advantage.

Whilst hunting it's like cheating too, unless you have poor eyesight.

I don't agree.
I'd rather use open sights anyday than a scope, but there are plenty of hunting situations which just cannot be handled with iron sights.
On double rifles up to .375 cal or thereabouts, a scope in detachable mounts makes the rifle far more versatile.
