Re: Ruger #1 in 9.3x74R?

Thanks! I did finally pick up a Chapuis 9.3x74R. I know range is limited with a sxs and the thought came up to get a second in the same caliber in case shots were further out than 100 yards. That's when I came across the Ruger #1.

Just have a quality scope fitted to your Chapuis using QD mounts, claws being preferable. Even if you sight the scope to just one barrel, you still end up with a scoped single shot.
This would save the drama of two different rifles shooting two different loads. As Mike pointed out, it would be possible to mix up the rounds which could prove to be nasty.
Your Chapuis will be accurate way beyond 100 yards when scoped.
