I stumbled onto this item this morning and am curious whether any of the other members can make more sense of the barrel markings than I can. The intriguing feature, which I have never seen before, is the metal reinforced slots on the comb of the stock, which I can only think are intended to accomodate a detachable cheekpiece for scope use, except I don't see any indisputable evidence of scope mounts on the barrel.
