It would be nice if the 412's were lighter, but the extra weight does mean extra strength. It probably doesn't matter in the smaller cartridges though. I've carried mine many a mile, hunting over my dog, but mostly hunting all over Alaska... One thing about the 412's, they are VERY accurate, and from my experience, they will out shoot most other brands of conbo's... I even took the scope off and reinstalled it between shots when shooting this target. The 412 scope system is VERY reliable, is made of steel, and should last a lifetime... Lastly, i don't like hammer combo's at all... I much prefer a hammerless, with double triggers, so that i have an "instant" choise of bbls., no matter what bbl. set i have on my 412 action. DM |
