As a custom gunmaker I build/create two different kinds of single shot rifles: "collectables" and "serious shooters". These range in era from 1885, to Martini & Hagn, to express rifle, to BPCR Target, to .280.
A good friend took a large-action Martini in .303 by Bland to Africa and shot several head of game. Really nice SS's in either catagory would be very interesting to read about.
hell, I'd like to wirte some magazine stories about them.
