British Single Shot Barrel Dimensions

Gentlemens:

I will in the not too distant future be barreling a couple of British actions, and would appreciate any information you might have on the barrel dimensions of origninal rifles.

The first is a fine Daniel Fraser sidelever reproduction that I am getting a prototype of. It will be made up in a sporting configuration and chambered in, tentatively, .375 H&H Flanged Magnum. I would like to try to duplicate the original full lenght rib. If any of you good folk happen to have an example or good pictures of such a barrel I would be grateful to have them.

The second rifle is a bit further down the road, but will be another sporting rifle built on a Gibbs Farquharson action. This one, subject to extensive waffling, will be chambered for one of the .450-400s.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Glenn
