I just receved my Martini-Henry Sporter and have performed a good cleaning and inspection. Well worn and used over the years. Plain, but with very nice 5 leaf express sights and a long range ladder sight.
The bore looks in good condition. Some minor pitting and the rifling is worn, but still very strong henry type. I have a box of new TenX brand .577/.450s in Jamison Brass.
I cannot get the cartridge to seat in the chamber and be able to close the action block.
Has anyone experienced this issue with .577/.450 or other Jamison brass? Or, should I look more to the rife?
