I have never come across a book. I am personally not a gunsmith but could be called a "good tinkerer" and have successfully disassembled 3 of my drilling for a good cleaning. Two were side locks and one box lock. Its not really difficult but the key is using the RIGHT tool (screwdrivers) with the right amount of pressure so you dont bugger them (which is easy to do and a unforgettable mistake).
