Jack, It is a Simson, and I believe it is a 30 series, but I need to find out. Without opening my safe to check, I'll say it was produced in 1984. It didn't matter to me, because it was a very sound drilling that shoots like a target rifle and is in 12 gauge and 9,3X74R, made with modern steels and made to take today's shotgun ammo. I'm glad you asked, however, and will nail down the model designation. The scope is excellent in poor light conditions, and the QD swing mount is of a type I've not seen before; it works great!! Depending on the results of a biopsy in the near future, it may end up for sale...it and others. |
