Westley Richards Farquharson .303 British

Westley Richards & Co. Best English Guns and Rifles. Here we have a take down Farquharson model in .303 British. Gorgeously patinated, this lovely classic sporting rifle was previously offered for sale at just £4000...

Sounds like a fantastic rifle. When was it offered for £4000?

This is more my style, unfortunately I don't have a spare £4000 lying around!

Just like I like them - if the bore is good which is probably why it was offered at 4K.

NOT A FARQUHARSON!!

Whew!... Had to get that out of my system...

Westley Richards' Model 1897 (early takedown version).
The "Farquharson" name has taken on a generic meaning and is used to describe a number of the falling block rifles of the era.
I just prefer to use the name for actual Farquharson patent rifles.
