A litte while ago we decided to see how a martini would handle with a thumb hole stock .Purchased a Boyds carved uninletted blank .It actually is quite nice and looks not bad Cheers Peter

The old girl looks good in some modern clothes. What caliber and how does it handle? LesLeeSpeed

Thank you ,it is a new 25" crome molly barrel in 303 british. We also used a tally base and under cut it to go over the receiver to keep it clean and tidy with good eye releif for the scope The empties do tap the bottom of the scope but they do leave the breech .It turned out to be a comfortable rifle to to shoot and carry and balances nicely Peter

Possibly a silly question, but the Martini uses a thru bolt, no? How is the stock held on??

Well done, Peter, very "racy", however it's not my brand of beer.

yes it is a short bolt .First get the pistol grip to fit my hand and then keep working the stock forward till my trigger finger fit comfortable .Then make the bolt to the right length and hide it into the stock so not to chafe .It is basically a custom fit for me as other shooters either find it too far or close to trigger Cheers Peter
