Just wondered if anyone has seen this new book, and what it's like? |

My Copy is some where between Rhode Island and Montana. If it is like his other single shot books it should be pretty good. I will give my opinion as soon as it arrives. The rook rifle subject must be pretty extensive as it is supposed to be two volumes of the 9 volume series Winfer is doing on the British Single shots. The Second rook volume will be the absolute best!!! Okay a bit of bias on my part. My Grand daughter's Greener Ladies rifle will in the second volume. |

As with all of Wal's books the first volume of the rook rifle books is wonderful. He is one of the most meticulous researchers I know. |

The first volume on the rook rifles is very impressive and the second volume will make it to over 800 pages of photos and information. All seven of Wal's books to date set a very high bar for books to come. Wall has put a lot of effort into getting all of the information he can. I do hope he will be able to finish Volume 9 which will be some of the odd British actions like the "Money-Walker" and many others made in very limited quantities. I have am helping proof the second volume and with luck it will be available this fall. Cheers, Laurie |
