We have a recipe we use over here for Carp.

Put a large pan of water on to boil.

Scale and Gut the fish, of course washing out the insides.

Stuff the insides with Onions, herbs etc.

When the water is CLOSE to boiling, put a half brick
in the bottom to stop the water boiling (over).

Put the carp in and let them cook slowly in the near boiling water.

After about 1/2 an hour, tip out the water and the carp
and eat the brick !!!

PS - I think the above will give you an idea of what Carp taste like !
