Lard is produced in marble basins with old recipes, and I don't know which is the secret, the air, the loving care and attentions in the production, but lard by Colonnata is special. It has the DOP mark that protect this product from any attempt to imitate it.
It is often described also in television, during programs for gourmet, seldom in competition with lard of Arnad, produced in Aosta Valley.
About wine don't worry, I don't remember a famous wine brand int that area.
