Re: A perfect sundowner on safari, the "Nitro Express"

Sorry John - this hasn't helped answer your questions in bold ;-)

One big problem with a named NEW cocktail is originality.

Nothing more seems to be able to be made original?

Some use a brand name to be "original". Cheating a bit in my opinion. Eg Cocktail X, uses Gin X , plus other ingredients. If Gin X is pretty standard juniper flavour it's cheating, if flavoured differently it might be legitimate. Merely a brand name, not.

A marula berry gin might be a unique African flavour "on topic". Maybe a Marula berry based wine, brandy? If such exists. Amarula liquor?

A Southern African flavour.

Amarula Liquor Cream is of course made from Marula berries from the Marula tree. Some say better than Bailey's.

Naturally fermenting Marula berries are said to get elephants drunk. Antelope drunk etc.

An Amarula cream cocktail? I don't think so. A bit feminine. A "Nitro Express" cocktail needs to be manly.

Maybe like Bailey's and Butterscotch schnapps makes a "Cowboy Cocksucker", Amarula Cream and Butterscotch schnapps
Seeing it will be white or cream coloured, maybe a little butterscotch coloured, it could be called more politely a "White Hunter" for the ladies to enjoy.

There's one, assuming it's original, the "Nitro Express White Hunter"
