One of my latest ceations for a hunting lunch meal, is a "quick pasta or noodles" cooked in a canteen tin cup on a hexamine block stove. Drain. Add a small tin of salad beans, and a small tin of tuna or salmon. Mix. Eat. Relatively light to carry. Perhaps repack out of the tin cans before carrying? Could get messy. This meal would be similar to some tinned pre-made bought meals. Eaten cold. Good tucker with an apple for a hot or tropical hunt or day hike. Pasta or rice could also be precooked as long as it does spoil. |
