Not too long ago I made a "considerable" purchase at what has been hailed as the "best butcher" in the US. Lobels of NYC (www.lobels.com) has, hands down, the best steak I've ever eaten at home.

They are NOT cheap, but the steaks are heaven. We had the NY Strip (for me) and Filet (for the wife).

Served with a '98 Duckhorn Merlot...a dinner to remember...
