This is "Hochdeutsch" with a southern flavour, but hard to locate exactly.
I looked up Mr. Hoff's website, surprise, he is British but seems to have spent lots of time in Munich.
For a Brit his German pronunciation is superb!
The "south German accent" is a mixture of suebian, austrian etc, as Munich is not really bavarian anymore but a melting pot ..
