Ann, I tried them boiled (like a potato) and they tasted very simular to artichoke hearts! Very yummy! We dipped them in melted butter mixed with a squeeze of lemon. Later that evening a strange reaction occurred. So I went onto the internet to research a bit and found out that they are known to create copious amounts of flatulence! And I mean enough gas to power a small European country for a decade! Thank God we didn't have a fire going, or any candles lit. The likey resulting explosion would have destroyed half of Oslo, and created a tremendous forest fire! Endangering the lives of a hundred thousand innocent people! However, there is supposedly a way to avoid this when prepairing them. I just haven't found out how yet... I'd like to though, cause the taste was great! Howabout if you be my guinea pig, and try prepairing some differant versions for me over on the otherside of the Atlantic? Just to spead out the environmentally unfriendly emissions?
