It shows just how much mine and my parents has morphisized into Germglish. No wonder my relative give me a blank look when I speak to them.

same here--was in Germany a few years ago --thought I would get along a lot better than I actually did..both sides of my paternal family were from Germany and spoke it often as I was growing up..was not nearly as fluent at I had hoped..
