For the last 6 or 7 years, I haven't tented and I love it. I sold my wooden 'cots' for the BP Rendezvous & now haul the tow-behind trailer to them. Again, nice queen bet with a $1,000.00 mattress. Love it. If it's to hot and I'm "dry or grass camping" with no electrical plug-ins, I have a 35 amp gasoline generator that works just fine. Around here in BC, it's only excessively hot for about 4 or 5 hours a day. If we're down in the South of BC, it can be a LOT hotter for longer in the day, but then we're plugged into a 30 amp service when down there, so air can be on as long as needed. I've yet to need to use the light-weigh 4 pound sleeping bag we keep under the bed for a cold weather blanket. Opened up, it's a bit larger than queen sized. Camping's rough, but that's how I like it - trailer rough. At 71 almost 72, that's camping! Here "she" is where I camped for 3 months last summer and will be camping for 3 1/2 months this coming summer. Got all my fishing gear ready, too. That little red & black boat with bimini top, tied up on the dock with the 20HP Merc is also mine. |
