The 243 barrel for my TCR 83 has a 2-7x28 (older) Leupold, 1" tube, no AO, no side focus, no illumination, etc That's a really nice light and slender scope. I was just outside working with what's left of my chronograph to see where I'm at with a load. Still enough light getting in there to see well in so-so light with the small objective lens and skinny tube. At the SCI show I looked at a few current issue skinny scopes. I'm always looking for a thin, light, FFP scope with low profile click adjustment knobs and a reticle that gets itself out of the way for the point of aim. I actually like a Horus-type reticle as long as it doesn't obstruct the main central point of aim. Not much out there that answers those things. |
